Just ask any of the people that attended the “Mythbuster Waterborne Test Drive” what they thought and they will gladly share their experience with you.

On Thursday evening April 14^th perhaps Central PA’s largest gathering of industry professionals in recent history was assembled to greet those in attendance and answer all the questions they had on converting to waterborne coatings.

Everybody who attended had a chance to Spray 5 different waterborne and complaint coatings represented by Akzo Nobel Coatings, BASF, and Sherwin Williams. What an amazing opportunity! We called it an “All you can spray buffet”.  Painters were able to try various waterborne ready spray gunsfrom Sata, DeVILBISS,Iwata, and Sharpe and see thecompressed air filtration units from Tsunami, Sata, Reading Technologies,and DeVILBISS. There was a lot of information available on shop equipment: from special gun washers required for waterborne coatings (provided by Uni-ram) to various air blowers (amplifiers) from Garmat, Sata, DeVILBISS, and Prevost.

All attendees were able to talk with these industry professionals and get their questions answered on the spot. A lot of great equipment was on display and everyone had a chance to get more familiar with it.

The highlight of the evening for many was the hands-on with the products. Some comments heard from attendees were, "They answered every question I had", "I can't believe how fast that waterbase paint covered", "Blending was very easy", "It's nice to see a jobber putting on programs like this, it's like the old days." Comments like these say it all.

CARS couldn't have asked for a better turn out or results. A special thank you is due to all of our supporting manufacturers and especially Brenner Nissan, Jeff, Abdul,  and the entire crew for their part and assistance in hosting the event. Without you this evening could not have been a success.
